A.C.E’s Epic Return to the UK - Concert Review

A.C.E have finally made their long awaited return to the UK on their Rewind Us Tour which they have taken to 9 different cities in Europe. Their last visit to England was pre the pandemic in 2019 with their TO BE AN ACE Tour.

This particular show organised by Studio PAV had different tiers of V.I.P in which fans were able to meet the boys and get exclusive merch! All this took place before the show meaning fans were slowly let in tier by tier all ready in seats for the show!

They made a booming entrance with two of the groups biggest hits Goblin (Favorite Boys) and SAVAGE, these songs are very performance heavy showing the boys range of talents from dance technique to impressive live vocals, their synchronisation being on point all the way through.

Throughout the show the members commented on how loud the audience was especially with singing along. It's worth noting that in their extensive discography they have quite a few pop centered songs with completely english lyrics that create great singalongs for an english speaking audience! Main dancer Byeongkwan ranked this particular audience within the top three they've ever had in terms of energy, which of course was reciprocated with an even louder cheer from the crowd.

When the boys weren't showing off their impressive energetic dance they took a moment to exhibit their perfect pitch in ballad songs like Talk You Down, Clover and Anymore. This certain group are great at splitting the parts between members and creating well balanced harmonies, I truly can't compliment their talent enough.

The intimate venue EartH made it easy for the group to see all their fans from the front to the back of the room, during certain songs they spent their time walking up and down the stage interacting with their fans smiling, waving and singing along together. It was very clear whether you're a fan or not that these boys love their fans and have a great time performing, this was definitely the right career choice for them!

Of course the members had to take the allocated time to talk to the british fans about their pronunciation of certain things, Yuchan and Byeongkwan even debating whether it's pronounced WA-TUH or WA-UH, this argument ended on the agreement that the audience seemed to be 50/50 on the matter. All the members spoke on the fact that they'd missed the UK and went around to visit the tourist spots just like they did before because they'd missed it so much.

At the end of their set and opening the encore section they took the time to do a few more songs showing their passion through performance really giving it everything they've got, their energy being extremely contagious and flowing throughout the room. They also performed the song Chasing Love in front of fans for their first time ever, the song being released during covid and not being a title track it had been buried under other songs so to dust it off just for the Europe tour was a great surprise for the fans!

When the concert was finally coming to a close the boys spent every moment they could waving and saying their goodbyes, everyone in the room was left with a smile and a joyous energy filled the room. Definitely a group that left a great long lasting impression, they themselves promised to come back to the UK soon and I can only hope it will be in a bigger venue to reflect the talent they hold!
