Can you introduce yourself?

“My name is JM, I am a Choreographer/Director - BB Trippin’s owner and leader.”

How did you get into dancing?

“Through exercise I discovered dancing and had the opportunity go on stage, I was so happy at that moment so I decided to carry on.”

How was BB Trippin formed and where did the name come from?

“BLOCK B was a hot topic in Korea but the name was made by chance. Because of an interview we had to quickly make a name so BB, short for Block B, was put in front. The original team name was just TRIPPIN.”

What is your day-to-day routine as a dance crew leader/choreographer?

“There’s no fixed schedule. When a choreography request comes in, we choose a choreographer based on who fits the song well, and we all talk together about how to make the choreo and then proceed with creating the choreography.”

What has been your favourite dance to choreograph?

“It's not my choreography, I only saw the overall direction, but I really like ATEEZ's 'THE REAL' choreography. It's light, fun and hip.”

What are your favourite groups to choreograph for?

“Of course it’s ATEEZ! Right now I’m not making the choreography myself, I’m only working as the general director. But I’ve been with ATEEZ since the members were first together and we talk a lot, so we fit well and I like working with them.”

What are your plans for 2022?

“I’d like to carry on as I’ve been doing so far, because I’m doing my job well without getting hurt and doing anything bad. If i have a wish, I hope that COVID-19 will end soon and that people will be able to gather and do lots of performances.”

What advice do you have for young people who want to dance?

“It's a job where the most important thing is to take care of yourself, so be careful not to get hurt while dancing, enjoy and love what you do :)”
