K-Pop Stars P1Harmony learn British Slang

Before burning up the stage at HallyuPopFest London 2022, P1Harmony made time in their packed schedule to chat to Hallyu Doing about visiting London, and their favourite British artists.

Hi P1Harmony! How does it feel to be in London?

Intak: “It’s kind of amazing. Being able to see the buildings and things that I only saw on the Internet in real life, I realized how big this world is.”

Are you fans of anything particularly British?

Theo: “I watch European soccer. I like Tottenham!”

Keeho: “You guys call it football here right?”

Do you have a favourite British artist, or anyone you’d like to collaborate with?

Soul: “The song we heard this morning… I forgot the name.”

Keeho: “We love Ed Sheeran!”

Intak: (singing) “Supermarket flowers, from the windowsill~ Threw the day old tea from the cup.”

Keeho: “When I was in elementary school, or middle school I think, ‘The A Team’ - that song. I wanted to learn it on piano, I’m horrible at piano but I tried to play. The A Team is amazing. And One Direction? Insane. We love One Direction.”

Jongseob: “Oasis? I love Oasis’s music. I want to cover their music or collaborate with them.”

You have a comeback soon! Would you like to promote it?

Keeho: “We have an album coming out on July 20th! It’s called ‘HARMONY: ZERO IN’, the title song is ‘Doom Du Doom’. It’s very good. We worked really hard, so we would appreciate it if you guys watch the music video and listen to the album.”

That was a great British accent!

Keeho: “Was it? I used to be so bad at it, but then I wanted to be able to do it, so I practiced. I sometimes do it on livestream, then our fans are like, ‘that’s not British, you literally sound Australian or like, Irish’.”

Thank you P1Harmony for talking to us!

All: “Thank you!”

The artists at HallyuPopFest had seriously jam-packed days, so we cannot thank P1Harmony (and their wonderful team) enough for taking the time to chat to us between walking the Red Carpet, meeting their fans at Hi Wave, hyping the crowd at the Saturday Showcase and blowing us away with their incredible concert performance. We hope you enjoyed this short but sweet interview as much as we enjoyed talking with them! Thank you again to Theo, Soul, Jongseob, Keeho, Intak and Jiung.

PS: watch the interview video above to see us teaching them British slang!
