SEVENTEEN Makes History as the First K-Pop Group to Perform on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage

The iconic Glastonbury Festival revealed their lineup for 2024 this morning, shocking UK K-Pop fans with the news that SEVENTEEN will be performing on the Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm this June.

SEVENTEEN, a South Korean boy group formed by Pledis Entertainment, has been captivating audiences worldwide with their infectious music, electrifying performances, and unparalleled talent. Comprising 13 members, each bringing their unique flair to the group, SEVENTEEN has garnered a massive global following known as the "Carat" fandom. Their performance at Glastonbury Festival will mark the group’s first ever performance in the UK.

Seventeen were previously scheduled to perform in the UK back in March 2020, as part of their ‘ODE TO YOU’ world tour. However due to COVID-19, the tour was unfortunately cancelled and UK CARATS have been waiting ever since to see their faves IRL. That may still prove a challenge as Glastonbury tickets, being the iconic festival it is, are already sold out. There will be one final chance to get tickets in the resale of any cancelled or returned tickets in April.

Glastonbury Festival is often hailed as the pinnacle of music festivals worldwide. Founded by Michael Eavis in 1970, the festival has evolved into a multi-genre extravaganza, hosting iconic performances and welcoming diverse artists from across the globe.

In a groundbreaking announcement, K-Pop sensation SEVENTEEN has been revealed as part of the lineup for Glastonbury Festival 2024, set to grace the illustrious Pyramid Stage. This is not only a monumental moment for SEVENTEEN but also for the entire K-Pop industry. The Pyramid Stage holds immense significance as the festival's main stage, symbolising a pinnacle of achievement within the music industry.

This marks a huge occasian for the K-Pop in the UK landscape, with SEVENTEEN claiming the title of the first ever K-Pop group to perform at Glastonbury. Other Korean acts from various musical genres have already had the pleasure of performing at Glastonbury, including Korean folk singer-songwriter Gonne Choi, psychedelic rock band Juck Juck Grunzie and rock band Jambinai.

Tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2024 are now sold out. There will be a resale of any cancelled or returned tickets in April 2024.
