Since their first world tour (The Expedition Tour) in 2019, where the group performed to crowds of between 600 and 2,000 fans, ATEEZ have sky-rocketed in popularity — feeding their followers with an endless stream of albums, variety shows, concerts, and more despite the COVID-19 pandemic, and constantly working at 110% to bring a slew of unique and spectacular performances that dazzle and amaze. Now selling out shows of 20,000+ ATINY (their fandom name), the group’s humanity, individuality, and ferocity is still evident in everything they do, and it’s hard to resist following their journey as they break down walls and soar to the greatest heights of k-pop, always maintaining their ‘humble and kindness’.

Fast-forward to March 2023, ATEEZ are closing their third World Tour (The Fellowship: Break The Wall) having met around 100,000 ATINY in Europe alone, with their final two shows at the 20,300 capacity Accor Arena, Paris. Despite these being their 8th and 9th show in less than four weeks, the group brought as much passion as their very first show in Amsterdam, if not more. The crowds matched their energy ten-fold: shouting, singing, and stomping with all their might from well before the concert started until far after the members left the stage for the final time. ATEEZ felt the heat from the crowd, regularly commenting on the energy.

From New World to My Way, Illusion to Geurrilla, Celebrate to The Real, the first night was a rollercoaster. Switching up the mood in an instant, each song brought it’s own unique footprint of emotions and energy — every stage brought forth a completely different atmosphere, and it’s hard to believe that they came from the same team of producers, choreographers and performers.

As always, both shows were full of playful adlibs to keep it interesting. San took a shine to singing The White StripesSeven Nation Army, while the rap line Hongjoong and Mingi found great joy in starting ‘Wesh Paris’ chants at any given opportunity. During the tour’s final performance of Rocky, Yunho and Wooyoung switched their parts in the first chorus, much to the delight of ATINY.

The second and final show brought a slightly bittersweet atmosphere - the crowd incredibly excited to be a part of the closing of the tour, but also slightly emotional about it coming to an end, and knowing that it could be some time until they get to see their favourite group in front of their eyes again. ATEEZ echoed these feelings, and mentioned throughout the show that the tour was over, but they would leave Europe with no regrets, content and energized from making precious memories with ATINY from all over the world.

An extra emotional Encore was owed to the thoughtful video project put together by Ateez Europe, tugging heartstrings as the entire venue sang Thank U to ATEEZ after taking a selfie together. Tears were shed by the members and the crowd, with ATEEZ pouring their hearts out to ATINY in their ending speeches.

The tour ended on a euphoric high note with an energetic performance of The Real, followed by a dance battle between ATEEZ and their dancers, B.B. Trippin. As they said their final thanks and goodbyes, ATEEZ left the stage and the arena continued their chanting and singing, exiting the venue with teary eyes and hearts full of love.
