EVNNE Talk “HOT MESS” Comeback
EVNNE, up and coming rookie boy group consisting of members that competed on BOYS PLANET, are back! EVNNE have released their 4th mini-album titled HOT MESS with a title track of the same name. Hallyu Doing got the chance to ask EVNNE a couple of questions about the comeback.
HOT MESS was released on the 10th of February along with the tracks Birthday, Love Like That, CROWN and Youth along with a Korean version of their Japanese release KESHIKI. The mini album shows a range of genres and music styles to really showcase what EVNNE have to show!
This 5th Gen boy group under JellyFish Entertainment debuted in late 2023 with TROUBLE and have been on the rise ever since. Their ever-growing fanbase is incredibly passionate having followed the members from BOYS PLANET or even before their current group EVNNE. The members are Keita, Park Hanbin, Lee Jeonghyeon, Yoo Seungeon, Ji Yunseo, Mun Junghyun, and Park Jihoo.
EVNNE are a visibly passionate group having gone viral multiple times for their performances and covers both as a group and individually. They're constantly praised for their talent and even write and produce their own music and they've put it to great use to bring us yet another banger release.
Hallyu Doing: “HOT MESS is brighter and more colourful compared to EVNNE's past comebacks, are there any members that were waiting to show this concept and how did everyone find it?”
LEE JEONGHYEON: “Our fans love our goofy and playful side, like joking with each other, so I'm so glad we are finally releasing an album and title track that can truly convey our nature and characteristics. We are definitely looking forward to sharing that.”
JI YUNSEO: “Something we're always aiming for when performing on stage is having fun on stage, as we always talk about it amongst ourselves before going on stage. I think one of the biggest elements and keywords for this comeback is having fun with joy, which allows us to pursue the music and performances we've always tried to do.”
PARK JIHOO: “We are definitely back with a new concept. For our last album, we were all about the visuals, like finding the best angle for us, but this album is quite different. The theme and mindset are more like "No worries as long as we have fun together everything's fine" so enjoying the music and stage with our fans is the whole point of this album.”
Hallyu Doing: “Many fans across the world have loved EVNNE members for a long time, Can we expect plans for you to meet fans soon, maybe in different countries?”
YOO SEUNGEON: “Even though we don't have any specific plans for now, we are always seeking opportunities to meet our fans all around the world as much as possible to meet them in person and share our performances. Please look forwards to our plans in the future. ”
LEE JEONGHYEON: “We cannot share a lot right now but we know we have many fans in Europe, and we'd love to visit and see them. We're working hard to make it happen so please stay tuned and wait for us.”
Being able to chat with EVNNE about their album and future plans was a lot of fun, these boys are just as energetic and cheeky behind the scenes, we definitely think they are a boygroup to watch out for and we hope to eventually have them perform for their fans, ENNVE, in the UK.
